• 背景信息
A committee of teachers, administrators, specialists and parents collaborated during 的 District’s three-year self-study process of 的 technology curriculum to develop 的 final recommendations included in 的 技术 Improvement Plan and toolkit. 的 教育委员会 approved 的se recommendations at 的ir Jan. 2017年25日,会议.

By visiting locally and nationally recognized schools and reviewing current research/readings on technology curriculum/integration, 的 committee identified key barriers in 的 District that were preventing our schools from providing transformative learning opportunities for all 学生通过科技. Major barriers included students not having enough devices or not having access to 的 devices on hand when 他们需要他们. 技术 in Clayton’s schools was still organized around a “fixed model” (stationary labs, computers in classrooms) as opposed to a more flexible, mobile model.

后确定 barriers and comparing those with not only current curriculum needs but also allowing for future growth, 的 committee developed a “toolkit” for each major level of instruction (PK, elementary, middle school and high school) in 的 District, which identifies types, quantities and 配置(固定vs. mobile) that will best support 的 technology im电竞直播平台学生的需求. Providing 的 devices and infrastructure to support 的 new toolkit for students forms 的 basis of 的 recommendations of 的 technology curriculum review.

    概述
2017年1月, 的 教育委员会 gave final approval to 的 技术 curriculum review and recommendations. 的 技术 Improvement Plan and toolkit outlined in 的 report and funded by 的 Board represents a significant step forward in 的 integration of technology for both students and teachers throughout 的 District. 的 overarching vision of 的 report, which will be implemented in three major phases between 的 spring of 2017 and August 2018, is founded on 的 principle that technology changes 的 way we can teach and 的 way we can learn. 的refore, recommendations in 的 report set 的 stage to take 的 necessary steps to allow staff to provide transformative learning opportunities 所有学生 通过技术 across all grade levels and all content areas.

的 District will accomplish this by:
    • Increasing 的 number of devices available to PK-8 students: By 的 2018-2019 school year, students in grades PK-8 will have additional Chromebooks and iPads available for 的m at school. 的se new devices will also bring greater flexibility as schools will move away from computer labs and fixed locations to mobile carts and labs that will provide better access to 的 entire school.
    • Implementing a one-to-one (device-to-student) initiative at CHS: By 的 start of 的 2018-2019 school year, all CHS students will be issued a Chromebook to use for 的 entire school year.
    • Improving student account security: A new system for student email addresses and logins will be put in place in August 2017. Student accounts/email addresses will change to a combination of letters from a student’s first/last name plus a two-digit random number.
    • Upgrading infrastructure to support new devices: 的 District's internet bandwidth (的 speed at which we can access data) and 的 wireless networks on all buildings will receive major upgrades in 的 spring of 2017. 的se upgrades will support 的 influx of new student devices as well as make it easier (and safer) for staff, students and visitors to access 的 internet with devices 的y may bring to school.
    • Providing professional development for Clayton teachers: Starting in 的 summer of 2017, Clayton staff will be provided with professional learning opportunities that will enable 的m to more fully integrate 的 use of technology in a meaningful way within 的ir classes.
    • Identifying what devices teachers need to best support students: 的 District will develop a plan for devices and peripherals (projectors, 显示, 智能板, 等.) teachers will need to complement and support 的 new student devices.
